Like the mythos of the Seraph
He was born in flame
All will and choice removed
Ignited by a brotherly hate
Hidden in the shadows
Forgotten and unknown
Years of thoughts without words
Vengeance becoming crutch and cradle
Finally nurtured by a creeping soul
A loathsome maggot, perhaps to some
But with a sharp intellect
That promised him the keys to the kingdom
Father, he called him
But no love was ever shown
Only further cruelty and torture
As he nurtured him to his purpose
It mattered not to him
He endured, building strength
Pursuing their shared hatred and goal
His through revenge, his father through jealousy
Finally the day long awaited arrived
Striding forth, confusion in the eyes of the enemy
Standing tall, eye to eye with his nemesis
He had become the Demon in red
And so it began, the long journey
All feared this machine of destruction
The years of hate rarely satiated
Blossomed as an expression of violence bathed in fire

Author notes
This one is about WWE Wrestler, Kane. Borrowed the word "ignited" from Ocean Soul Raven, so, kudos go out there to her.

Thank you very much. I wanted to show much of the history of the character as possible.

Kane is great! He is so hard to beat. I like how you described him in your poem. Good job!

Thank you very much. He is a very respected, long serving great worker who really does at some point deserve a title run.

Kane is absolutely huge and crazy! LOL I would hate to be in the ring with him, let alone be his opponent. Great write on him!

Thank you. He's definately not the kind of guy you want to bump into in a dark alley (where, presumably he'd be hiding out lol).
I still preferred him with the mask on though......

That was good.... I love how deep you went into Kane's character. As years roll past and new gimmick's pop up, it's easy to forget the origins of some of wrestlers.
Good luck with the contest, Son.

This is very true, with Kane especially. As fun as it still is, it isn't really a patch on what it was initially. One of the few wrestlers, who, because he didn't speak, could sell the entire story on his body language alone. I say this and always have, if people payed attention to that aspect of him from his early years in the character, he stands out as one of the true greats. Completely underated.
