Sheltered from the world
I have no emotions,
looking under the cracks
I see no light.
Hiding from what confuses the mind
the world holds too much to deal.
Rather sit in this cozy corner
where all the spiders lurk.
How often do we take for granted,
the sweet freedom of the world beyond.
Twisting for the life I knew
But it is too dangerous
for little old me.
Then the Glow suddenly Appears,
Those foot steps approach from afar.
Working their way closer to me
I figet and cast my arms up
Shielding myself, from the horrors.
The door opens wide, bearing the teeth I sit and cry.
Then I remember walking before, wrapped around my loves pale neck.
