Mirror Mirror
W. Peter Sanci July 18 / 2007
Mirror mirror on the wall, whose that guy staring at me there.
Sometimes I don’t even know who I am looking back at me, and then I offer up a silent prayer.
I don’t really know what’s happening to my body or my brain.
For you see I have Parkinson’s Disease and every day is a different ball game, and it’s a little bit of a strain.
Not only for me but for those who care for me like my wife and my family, not to mention my friends.
So that’s why I write so much my friend’s, at least, with pen and paper I can still say what I feel to those who I love, and we’ll see how my story ends.
So mirror mirror on the wall, please tell me something good today.
Every night before I go to sleep, I bow my head and pray,
Dear God when I awake let me know who I am and please let me be kind to everyone I meet, and please don’t let me go astray.
