"Mirror mirror on the wall
I am my mothers child
After all..."
Your actions play as mine
Even though I try to hide them
Telling myself I'm nothing like you
People are their own
But everything I say or do
Brings me crawling back to that shadowed mirror
I look at you and all I see is me
staring back
trapped
Lies
deceit
Faces I hide
My outside a disguise.
To cover the truth that only you and I can see
For we are one, as they say
...and nothing seems to take that away...
"Mirror mirror on the wall
I am my mothers child
After all..."
Author notes
Erm...I know the saying from my family...but the poem, I think, really didn't fit well enough, and it wasn't deep enough. But..oh well.
P.S....Mirror mirror
