A grid of phantom memories haunts
The lose dust of desire
My hope embalmed of wormwood
Points to images not delightful
Buried in my brain
A stained fire glistens
Not allowing tears
Promises detached from walls
Moving haste along
Again to the place delusion lingers
Life a disintegration lullaby
Until we all fall asleep laughing
Rebellion screams to strike a match
To dispel the hell in harmony
Chloroform for the mind
To stop my intellect from shedding
To purge my thoughts of blood
To carry these aborted dreams
Far away from here
This world of nothing
Though consequence changes
Like the weather it seems
Longing for stability remains unaffected
As I search for peace
A moon covers my sun
Blocking light now gone
Hardwired in these leanings
Have I gone too far?
Fading to the other side of tragedy
Each second like a candle being blown out
In dark abyss dreaming
We are all sinking
Down in to the ground
Drowning inside abstract making too much sense
To remain vague for long
Purple petals picked
Washed away by rain
False tears
we all fade away
Majestic bloodlines of the heart
All succumb to carnage
Holding on
Hiding under skin burnt then scarred
Explainable as existence
An oxidation lies in state
The funeral party continues
Happening every moment which dawns
Eventually we get lost
Remembering who we aren't
Out of time as stars are falling down
White spots blurring all vision
Now that decay claims its purpose
Someday an unlikely escape
Might blight reality true
Yielding something not so dull
Sparkling a bit more than normalcy
Our ineptitude slinks against the tide
Underlining our lack of mind
Least we forget the truth

This piece was not like most of your other work that I've read. Not in a bad way though. It was very deep, and full of angst. Loved the lines

"Chloroform for the mind" - that shook my being to the core. What a well worded write. Your imagery is far superior to the abilities of some of the other authors I've read here!! Way to speak out, I would really like to see more of this soon!
