She cries in the darkness, nobody understands,
He sits in the silence, head held in his hands.
Depression sets in, cant shake the feeling,
the world gone dark, the senses are reeling.
She picks up the pills, takes the whole bottle,
He ties up a noose, his intention to throttle.
Classmates hating, always berating, you're a little fat,
The girl is gone, can't go on, mind can't deal with that.
Mommy's gone, Daddy hits you, when he comes home drunk,
mind occupied, grades are slipping, classes you did flunk.
You can't sleep, the pains too deep, no one could understand,
that's not true, someone loves you, will take your hurting hand.
"Hold on...if you feel like letting go,
Hold on...it gets better than you know"
Suicide is the most selfish thing one can do.
Talk to somebody, anybody, we want you to stick around.

this is a senstive subject for myself and im sure for many other people out there. being a past sufferer of self harming i can see it is selfish because it hurts those close to us more than it hurts ourselfs. i love this poem absolutly loved it. it was so full of emotion and thoughts and i loved the wording it was strong and powerful. this was just simply wonderful. you took my prompt of one of my fav songs and turned it into something beautifal and emotional.
