To love one that is wicked is foolish,
so they say. However, I would like to
bring to the reader's attention that,
yes, evil people can love. Infact,
they are just as capable as we all are.
It may not seem so, considering all
of the wrong they bring to the world.
But yes, oh yes, they can certainly love.
I suppose you could call it a miracle,
unexpected, or awfully strange as it is.
But just because someone is evil and
is incapable of loving certain kinds of
people, doesn't mean they are incapable
of loving people all together. Do you
think racist people don't love their
families? Love is one of those things,
where no matter how much you try to
fight it off, which I'm sure many of
the wicked did, you can't brush it away.
If you love someone, you just do,
and no, I'm not saying that you can't
fall out of love. You certainly can.
What I mean to say, is, however,
that when you know you love someone,
and they know too, and they love you,
it is a particularly hard job to try
and shoo it away. This whole poem may
very well be pointless, but now you
understand that the wicked can love.
It's not always clear why, of course,
but if you look around and see that
they are a human being too, you will know.

Well, it may not have an all over 'romantic' tone to it, but I think it fits what it all comes down to well enough. Thanks for the inspiration to write a new piece.

Thought provoking. While what you say is true that there are people out there who are racist or who are murderers do have people out there who love them. I don't quite understand why some people out there would love people like that, but that's society, I suppose. Good luck in the contest.

i love the facts you have brought up here, i only wish you had a more poetic tone to it, pulling in emotion as well as fact. other than that, i liked this... thank you for entering and i'm glad you could be inspired,
