Ripping, Raging, forest Raping
Wretched Roaring fills the ravine
reeling, wrestling, forest wrenching
Crude Uprooting, Ravenous Machine
Breaking, Taking (forest aching)
age and awe in its Metal Jaw
Thrashing, Crashing, forest-clearing
Timber-Tearing, Hydraulic Claw
deciduous, bounteous, glorious forest
with heaven’s ancient beauty pursed
spent
for the cozy cabin cove
where I contemplate this verse

Love it
The cadence is the machine
The message self gratification
The price ___ the Earth.
'Great stuff here.

You mimic so well the disturbing mechanical cadence of destruction with your style of writing here. I like that very much. Then the words change demeanor with open vowel sounds that contrast the ealier style. That is just brilliant. Really brilliant!
The irony of this scene is well painted in with your expert brush.
