Pills, pills, diabolical pills
fun at first, getting more serious
turning into addictions
even a sickness
a pharmacists dream is the
next prescription druggie
then, one day, no more druggie
he died in his bathroom last night
alone and overdosed
his only friends left had killed him
his sweet Advil and loving Tylenol
mixed with some other newbies
they made for a deadly mix
friends became enemies
driving away old acquaintances
none of our druggie's mind was left
it became totally corrupted
by society and the media
saying it was OK to love those pills
love them more than yourself
corruption from the very center of what we know
a corrupted world is where we live
the druggie seems almost lucky
to have escaped
