There is an empty page
Where my words can never be written
For only his heart may appear
And in silence,
Before the God of heaven,
I kneel and offer a prayer
For in spirit there stands God's poet
Besides His alter
Gracious as always
To wipe away this tear

    Bob this is just so beautiful, I feel the tears because I do believe even though I never met him I have lost one of the true gentlemen on this site. He will be mised by me and a lot of others. C

    A tribute to the passing of a friend and you have penned such words that just touch the heart of any poet. I must admit to a smile and I am sure it would not be lost either .. I just noticed the date. But time will not take the meaning from the words good luck in the contest.

    Bob!!! I am sorry for your loss here and your pain resounds throughout the piece. But as you say God, gracious as always will wipe away the sad tears. Hope all becomes brighter for you soon my friend but the God of heaven as you say will give you the grace to go on you need only ask him....God bless and comfort you always and may you find his love and truth in your life revealing a joy you have never known for the rest of your days!!!!Thanks for sharing your heart wih us in this piece!!!~~Toni~~
