Crocodile tears
As long as your phantasmal heart is satisfied.
When my heart fell in love
It hit the pavement so damn hard
And it got up, bruised and torn
And it kept beating for you.
And as I dance along the twilight border
Between fantasy and reality
I can see the lines begin to blur
Beneath my blistered feet.
Your lies are delicate, like
Gossamer fairy tales
And I adore your ink-on-paper
Mausoleum eyes
And I'd cut myself to countless
Jigsaw puzzles
Just to see if you would ever bat an eyelash.
I know you better than anyone
You and your heart drowning in amethysts
I love you more than anyone
You with your crown of roses and thorns
So I'll wait it out quietly
Watching the world spin
Through my blood-oil tears
And wondering if I'll ever find you...
Your lies are mine, locked in my
Heart-shaped box
I fell in love with your soft
Velvet voice
And I will wait for you, wait for
My love
To catch up with me in the end.
Life is a poison...
And it kills slowly...
So just put me out of my misery,
already!

Oh my gosh.. This poem is AMAZING! Its like all the words I wish I could write, written out in a poem! The entire time I was reading it I had that "AWE" squishy face thing going on! Its sad yet soo sweet. I usually take an excerpt from poems when I leave comments, of my favorite lines in the poem but I found myself highlighting the entire poem.. I dont know what to say, but if you could see me my jaw would be on the ground : ).. After reading these lines:

Is when the "AWE" squishy face started and it ceased to stop until I finished reading this. Its a masterpeice. A bitter sweet masterpeice.. BRAVO! I can stress my applause to this poem enough but it was EXTRAVOGANT!! Thank you for entering, and GOOD LUCK, not that you will need it of course!
