sneaking slyly
down each back alley.
Furtive search
for the path
to another's riches.
Thief in heart
needs surprise
in prowling search
for that
he does not earn.
Selfish emotions
drain moral standard,
leaving corrupt soul
that cannot walk
in the light of day.

Topic that held my attention. Good take on an all to common problem. Thanks for entering.

Very nice ~
You followed the rules to a *T*...yet the word..
*furtive* threw me off using it twice,
so close together~
However...I am going to consider this for the POD ~
I **LOVE** uncommon Themes...and you
have done that with this write ~
Thank you for that ~
The POW = Poem of the Week,
is up and running for today & tomorrow ~
I hope to see you spill some Ink over there as well ~
You have the talent I like to see & read ~
Good job ~
I'm not saying this is going to win the POD...but it made the finals,
which others are having a hard time doing ~
Best to you ~
Bear ~
