lovely weather we're having
oh, and by the way...
i'm not allowed to see you,
it's his fault anyway.
and i will never listen.
the words we say aren't right anymore,
but they'll have to do for now.
so sorry so sorry.
sneaking kisses in the hallway.
keeping my head turned so i can see
the people staring at you and me
making sure that he's not coming
making sure he can't find out.
daddy doesn't understand
his little girl's in love.
it's so true
and he won't ever understand the things we never say to him.
so we're the best kept secret in a little tiny town.
the invisible invincible love.
hardened by hate.
and softened by the sweetest words.
darkened by clouds
and lightened by smiles.
itching to have
and scratching to please
the man i call my father
can't understand my needs.
