It only takes one day,
One day to change your life forever.
One moment to realize its never going to be the same.
Its growing,
Spreading out of control.
The words stab you in the heart,
"He has two months to live"
How can this happen?
He has half his life ahead of him already.
We say goodbye.
Not even two months pass,
He's defeated.
The war against cancer is done.
A good part of a lot of lives is gone.
Its not fair.
He doesn't deserve to go.
Goodbye and I love you.

So sorry for your loss!
You captured a lot of tough feelings splendidly.
It's tough to write about some occurrences in our lives but so important to do so if it is a part of you and your daily life. I don't think death is our last battle or final door. It's hard to say goodbye and we will miss those who move on but perhaps, for them, it's just a new chapter, a new beginning...
