sunrise encounter

you linger soft

upon my mind,

like dew does dance

on web in shimmer

bathed in early sunrise glimmer,

gazed upon a crescent eye

mere moments dreamed

in hush of sighs,

where light is lilt of laugh on lip

and truth is found in deeper bliss,

than heavy handed words reply

as fingers touch in trembled shy,

across a distance

great as sky,

where clouds do billow

reasoned greeting

measured weak, in short of life

so tender, treasured yearn to know,

that in my sight you follow moon

in cherished afterglow of mind

where face

is vision seen as gift,

bequeathed as beauty, soul to hold

in gentle waves

of minds caress

as feathers tickle memories

of sunrise circled, orange in glow

passion set, at time we met
