My eyes have seen sad stories
that seemed hidden in your sighs.
Stored deep within my silent dreams,
they merged and multiplied.
My ears then heard the wisdom,
just like singing in that sound,
From thoughts that rose as notions
and within your soul abound ~
They spilled out just like water
that’s been trapped behind a dam
Released at last to freedom
they arrived in cryptogram.
My heart then felt the sorrow
in those words you well disguise
Stored deep within my silent dreams -
then reflected through my eyes …

A thoughtful and intelligent poem, with good flow and rhyme--very well done.

My, my, my..... You never cease to please my poetic palate with that word palette of yours. I sense I'll run out of bookmarks before you run out of paint. You should do very well in the contest if I'm any judge.
Sincerely,
Leo Long

Deep thoughts in simple words. I always prefer brevity because I think it stops us from being boring, repetitive or just lost. I only have one clap left to handout but it is all yours. Thanks for the read. Regards
Donald
