and I see me
tumbleing down and down
and over again
beat me to the ground
its a race to see who crashes first
oh and baby we will burn
in an everlasting flame of hope and wonder
you were the downfall that kept me lifting my head up
each and every morning
we skirted around mistakes
and jumped over candlesticks
'cause our risks were worth the stars
and our mear emotion is pretending to be absent
so lift me up
and place me on your shoulders
just like we never did
slash and clash our thought out dreams
win some bravery and hurtle out my heart
slice us down the seam
cause now
you are hers' and she is yours
and yet you still have a part of me
my heart is encompassed by your burned out cinch of self
and there is nothing left but misery
it was fate
how we disinegrated oh so easily
errode away my spirit
your washing out my lungs
breathe.
let life pass through those untouched lips
one last time
and what a pitty
what a shame
you blew me away like dandelions
lets recreate the world
with our senseless form of pure corruption
goodbye what could have been.

skirted around mistakes
I like the image of that. The poem itself may be a little cliche, but I'm interested in your use of the term skirt. -

^I love that.
