Girl With No Future

She moves slowly through the ashes
In a dress once white
With no colour around her
Smoke turning day to night

Holding a small bear
Close to her heart
A toy worn and torn
Her tears begin to start

She moves slowly through the ashes
To where her home once stood
Why was man thinking –
Survive this they could?

That siren late at night
All knew what it meant
All running to hide
Bomb shelters they went

A blast so loud
And a light so bright
Turing all to ashes
And colours to white

So here she stood
Seeing no man or creature
All alone and crying
This girl with no future.

i thought i better come comment on this cuz i said i would... war - everyone thinks its a good thing to do at the beginning (all the dumb world leaders that is) not thinking of the innocent people who are gonna die in the mist of it, nor the children who wake up and have no home, no family, nothing and its sad because no one cares until its too late. you portray this really well, the feelings, the images everything about this write grabs at the heart..its sad..you done a great job thanks for sharing

    Beautiful

Very touching; sad, but so perfect. The art of war knows no bounds; war is uneeded.. but needed, and in the process - it can wreck many souls. Hopefully.. humanity can come to see this.
