Little Town, USA.

there's me:
a coalition of selflessness and unchallenged virtruity
for the sole purpose of bringing about a perfect tomorrow.
Of course thats true when we played pretend
with our pretty dream houses
and perfectly figured and busty barbie dolls.
Here, in Little Town, USA,
that's another lie squeezed into the little room we have to move.
my imperfections are your security.
Hide in the shadows of my spotlight.

I hate who i've become.
this selfish, jealous, spoiled brat
with a few redeeming qualities squeezed in between to lighten the mood.

Fuck, we're all so cliche in Litte Town, USA.

The girls here,
they've found themselves someone to love,
and they meet their lovers once a week,
down the dirt road the four wheelers tore apart,
past the old broken down house sinking under the ghost stories
and eggings brought about by fun-loving teens
going no where and everywhere at the same time.
Past that house, the girls find a place they think they belong.

The girls are so cliche in Little Town, USA.

i'll be hitting 18 and off to the city.
the big city.
i know i'll get away.
but i'll never get away.
ill sink in with the sewage.
the walls; they'll crumble to bury me,
and i'll fall into dreams sugar coated with reality.
i'll never get away.

I'm so cliche in Little Town, USA.

But this was never about me.

Author notes

i live in a little town, USA.
and it's become a part of me,
that i can't get rid of.
i dont even know if i want to get rid of it.

I cannot believe how honest this is. I love that you take a big step back and give out a lot of critisism of something, and then declare that you are a part of it.
I have to say that a lot of what you're saying in this is exactly why a lot of people have so many prejudices against america. Including myself, hehe
