the eternal winds blow
moon shadows his face
she entreats him not to go
he hears only the voices
of the winds
calling

she's so afraid for him
her heart being poured out
desperately in every utterance and cry
but he listens and responds
to the winds

she knows his destiny lies
not with her but with another
the mistress of deceit she is
the winds

slowly she falls away
heart withered by pain
knowing he is blind to her
