Dark white.

One small box,
Encased in white,
All walls closed,
One hanging light.
A body is contained,
Trapeed inside the walls,
Where it cannot escape,
Scrunched up in a ball.
And while it has waited,
For many many weeks,
For her brain to stop dancing,
She has become a freak.
The white walls,
They haunt her dreams,
She tries to be happy,
And silence those screams.
This tainted white,
Surrounding, trapping, suffocating,
Encloses her tightly,
Like this neck and string.
As come what may,
And what May will bring,
A suicidal girl of the night,
All dressed and painted white.

I like this poem. The antonym title was very interesting. Do you think people in insane asylums are happy being where they are or are they really miserable thanks to society's views on what 'sane' and 'insane' are? I like the lines

    'as come what may
    and what May will bring'

    Very interesting.
