Memorable

Have you ever forgotten
to forget what you remember
While still remembering
that you've forgotten to forget?

Have you ever
seen a face through darkness
as eyes shut to dream
drown the truth
& feed the fire
that's unforgettable?

Wow, this piece does funky things to my mind!
It's obviously well thought out; it makes sense in a lovely, deep way. Great work with the alliteration & imagery, especially in the last half.
    Thanks for entering.

    I absolutely LOVE this poem!
"Have you ever forgotten to forget what you remember
While still remembering that you've forgotten to forget?" is one of the most paradoxical, thoughtful, making-me-very-curious things I've read in a long time. The first paragraph is absolute perfection, although I think the 2nd one is a little over my head.
Good luck in the contest, this is an excellent piece of writing!
