When It Rained

Melted rainbows splashed onto earth,
Blossoming tulips upon their re-birth;
Silver raindrops fell, cleansing the land,
Raising the scent of the freshly soaked sand.

Thousand mirages mirrored on the drops
Kissing adieu to trembling leaf-tops;
Misty silk coated on each window pane
Hugged by the chilly wind bringing the rain.

Waking myriad colors from a trance,
Peacocks began their delirious dance;
Angels beat on their celestial drum,
Flashing the sparks that bid Rain-God welcome.

Nimbus tears purified one and all
That they could touch on the course of their fall;
Silvery crystals blanketed earth's crest,
Soothing and healing and quenching the thirst.

    A softly, softly approach of the elements here. There was an almost medicinal feel of Alo Vera in this and a calming effect of effigies. Lovely write. !

    Very good, fantastic write, loved the imagery here, perhaps the most creative and enchanting write so far, i like the punctuations used, however the caps in the front of each line doesnt look good with punctuations, your on the finals list, lets see how it goes when I review the the finalists once more. -Jacen.

    This is a wonderful poem you've entered here, I'm very glad I had a chance to read it, its rhyme you kept throughout, it seemed almost effortlessly with the choice of word and the many a time you could have forced, but took the highroad and didn't. I like the ideas, the verbiage is on point, and the piece suites the contest well too. Good luck with the contest.

    Oh. My. God.

    I have never read such a beautiful write ever before. Trust me on this. I never thought anyone could write so much about rain- one of the magical things I love- and you really proved me wrong. And not only that! The imagery was mind-blowing, the metaphors so original and the words are a wonderful choice.

    I love every line. I never personally liked end line rhyme (probably because I end up deleting those poems ) but you proved me wrong- once again! This is just FANTASTIC! Deserves the gold!

    great job!
