It must be hard for a mom nowadays,
telling your kids all of the ways
we mistreat each other,
how one country tries to kill the other.
What happened to peace?
The pain and suffering will cease to amaze me.
Its barbaric how we react with guns first and then words.
The voices of pain aren't being heard.
What would our forefathers say of our land?
"This wasn't our plan.
You've got it all wrong!
Hell, it won't be long
until there is chaos. Who will be the boss
if no one stands up and does the right thing?
This is what your hate will bring."
United we stand, divided we fall.
We're missing the point of it all.
It isn't just meant for this nation.
Look at our current situation.
Global warming and ice caps are melting, causing hysteria.
These aren't just problems for that area.
These things will damage our entire Earth.
Right now it doesn't matter who has the most net worth.
Now is not the time to battle for first place.
The environment will affect everyone in the race.
You don't look at it like this but maybe you should.
The U.S. is a fire, poorer countries are the wood.
We take down anyone and everything to stay at the top.
Your people, George Bush, are telling you to STOP!
But you aren't listening; you want it your way.
Well, sir, this isn't Burger King. You serve us today.

Very strong message, I really liked this, mostly this line stood out:
Its barbaric how we react with guns first and then words.
But, I must ask which option this lies under? Perhaps if you put it in the author box, I would understand it better. Overall though, this was a message I've heard before, and although I don't live in the US, your country's politics etc. are always in our face, so in terms of that, I feel your pain. Thanks for entering, KP -
This was a good poem. I wasn't much for the rhyme scheme, but the message was strong, and I lkiked that.
