Impressed

Indifferent at times
withdrawn
and alone
I sought comfort
in solace
where the shadows
are known.
Give me light
I'll repel it
give me hope
I'll deny.
Because wishes
are fishes
left breathless
to die.
I am wisdom
in ignorance
an enigma
unwound
buried deep
in my
memories
are the dreams
that I
drowned.
Yet you found me
in hiding
where no on
dare look,
turned the pages
found meaning
that others
mistook.
Capture me
in this moment
I'm not sure
it will
last,
hold it close
for a
moment
before it slips
past.
In the essence
I leave you
impressed
in your
heart,
the circle
of heaven
you found
in the
dark.

    Flavored.

    OH WOW!!!!

    "Because wishes
    are fishes
    left breathless
    to die."

This did me in!!! Amazing. Amazing. and the unwinding affect of it taking over me.

I can't go on to describe exactly how absolutely gorgeous this write is. from beginning to end and ending to beginning it all over again.

I'm not usually one to enjoy the idea of rhyme but I now know it's because I haven't seen any good meter in quite some time. and this is just...

The wind to the sail of imagining the dark without pale to catch the wax of a well-lit candle.

    Kudos.

wow...what a soothing write. i just loved it the whole way through. The rhyme and flow were near flawless, and the whole wording was profound. "Because wishes
    are fishes
    left breathless
    to die."

Very beautifully written dear, I loved it. To be found and drawn out of the shell we all crawl into at times is a wonderful thing, look around, smell the roses, bring joy back into your life. I will help in any way I can......Scott
