Terrors of the unheard heart,
Fear within unopened eyes.
The love once known, shreds apart,
Your left with only severed ties.
The distance will only break you,
From the life that you knew then.
The memories within will shake you,
Confirming this love is a sin.
You confided in a weakening fool,
That cast you into this illusion.
The love we shared was only a tool,
To fight away your life’s confusion.
So we fall within these shades of grey,
And tremble within this saddened song,
The dissipating light begs us to stay,
And takes us to where we think we belong.
The flame is slowly burning down,
The pages of life quickly unfold.
I waited for you, never making a sound,
While you left and tried to find your soul.
You never looked into my eyes,
For behind them you would see.
The truth that you have struggled to find,
It's always been inside of me.
I helplessly fall to the floor,
My fragile heart in your hands.
The love I gave you is no more,
It drifts away into the sands.
And we fall into these shades of grey,
Tremble within this saddened song.
The dissipating light begs us to stay,
It carries us to where we think we belong.
A quiet whisper implants a fear,
And tells you what it wants to do.
Fighting me away as I get near,
Telling me that our loves not true.
Still I knew that we would someday fall,
As this darkening night imposes.
You break apart into nothing at all,
And die within your bed of roses.
You fall farther into shades of grey,
And tremble within my saddened song.
The dissipating light begged you to stay,
And took you to where you think you belong.
You only wanted just one taste
Of the love that fell and now you lay
Surrounded by these shades of grey,
The life you knew just fades away,
You'll never see another day,
You'll fall into these shades of grey
Whispered Part
(Disappearing within shades of grey)
(Dying within your bed of roses)
(Dying within your bed of roses)

Oooooh!!!! I love this. This is beyond poetic and I want to read it over and over again. Perfect for a song. I love the repeated part. Wow! I'm just blown away by this!
