I have known love in the depths of my heart,
felt the hurt and pain of love forsaken and lost.
Love is it's own entity in the heart of life's theater
it come's and goes at will not caring about your cost
love has it's own part to play.
Just as the feeling of it's presence and passion shared
can fill the heart with joy, pleasures and laughter.
You can feel pain, sorrow and devastating emptiness
that breaks your heart with longing loneliness
when love leaves you.
I have felt the emotions of this empty void too often.
Time passes and with it the hurt. Pain fades into memories
and like the color of old blue jeans,
memories fade away.

Yeah I think we have all been in these shoes, is why I took them to the dump!!! the pain fades but we will always remember how it hurt.... well done hun

HH you have done this so well I keep remember the pain of lost love but yes that fades with time like your denim blues the person feeling the pain goes on and perhaps finds just what love is all about....very well crafted

The jeans part was a great analogy!

The agony and emptiness can be devastating to feel.

As a shawl of memories...Love
How true.." like faded jeans it fades away"...One can become distrusting about love, and our poet is not the only one that could express it in other terms, but he has brought all the emotion and rhyme into a beautifully woven mantle that one carries on their shoulders, and it is always there...past pains,and grief...Empathizing,yet supportive....I comment you on this beautiful work..brother!

A couple of misplaced apostrophies really threw me off on this poem... it seems to need a little polishing. Having said that, I love the actual CONTENT and the comparison to jeans? Utterly unique!!
