paroxysm

my dreams have transformed into
  hysteria through animation;
where my heart is a codeword
      to my mind's
Technicolor renovation.

I sleep to escape,
  but I'm finding myself
trapped in a world where
      my dreams are what
I dread in the day
              light's safety

- -

streetlight paranoia
under bridges and broken boats;
  floating down the ocean and through tunnels
running with no hope
  for an escape;

so I plead.

    (let me out.)

cotton-candy-kissing my captor,
  a promise of a visit in the morrow;
and every so often beyond that
    (anything to see him again.
  you can't keep me here.)

access denied.

I look for your support,
and you shake your head in
    defeat.
"There's no way out,
  and we'll never make it far enough"

breaking walls and fighting tension;
  bricks and bloody fists-

  you're watching me with such sympathy,
but I'm telling you now;
      we'll escape.

Author notes

Um, this isn't finished by any means... it'll be rewritten...

I've been having a recurring dream lately.. Not every night in a row, but at least 3 times a week.

Amy, you are the aforementioned person. :/ This creepy guy kidnaps us and takes us to his house. (I know this sounds weird, but it's my Uncle's house... but the guy isn't my Uncle...)

The first time I dreamed it, we devised a plan and escaped... but every time after that, you always tell me we can't make it... and that we might as well just stay until he dies.

The part about bridges and tunnels is a part of another recurring dream, which last night mixed itself up with the first dream. His house had a passage of tunnelways below it, as well as a crazy section of the house that looks like a warehouse. Either way, the tunnels and bridges we used alot in the beginning.

...so, yeah, this will be rewritten. It's strange.

Please tell me what you think

    I smirked.
    WHY did I smirk just then?

    Maybe 8:46 is not the best time to read poetry.
