Raking in the earth
Sniveling pig, snarling and snorting,
Giggling, chortling,
Threatening all that is good and gives
Devour the hunger itself.
A cowardly creature
That takes and breaks and attacks
Backs into corners when it's yelled at
And only aches for more.
Scales of serpentine longing
Glisten on it's shivering shell;
If Generosity is the angel at the gate
Then Greed is the hound dog of Hell.
