it is hard to find our peace,
loneliness cries deep from the soul,
so much pain with no release.
A generation contaminated and sick,
with violence, hatred and addiction,
some things will have to happen quick,
to break through all of this friction.
Political games motivate our leaders,
to gain their power at any cost,
all of them lie, and most of them cheaters,
no wonder our civilization is lost.
If deep inside a voice cries out to you,
listen hard to what it is saying,
your not alone cause I've been crying too,
there are games we must stop playing.
A vision of peace is hard to see,
but deceite is harder to hide,
the truth is we will never be free,
when we can't find peace deep inside.
I choose to believe, there will come a day,
when we all will walk hand in hand.
we will no longer grieve, and we will find a way,
even though we don't now understand.
Will you join me now with a vision of peace?
in a world that is growing so cold,
put end to this violence, let us pray it will cease,
regardless of what we've been told.
Author notes
I choose to believe there will come a day, when we all will walk hand in hand. It is the only thing that gives me hope in a cold, cold world...I imagine the world at peace...Will you join me?

Wise-Wonderful-Profound...
"A generation contaminated and sick,
with violence, hatred and addiction,
some things will have to happen quick,
to break through all of this friction."
Yes, the time to say "NO" to indifference, corruption and social misguidance is now, before the SLAVEYARD'S gates open to house our children.
Through the wise and outstanding poetic expression of "Vision of Peace" I heard the singing of the bells of Justice calling us to stand to fraternity and our human RIGHTS.
I salute the author of "Vision of Peace".
In respect and admiration,
Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU

I believe until we go back to raising God fearing children the hope of world peace is lost... but yet it is the hope we must hang on to, yes its the hope of one day we can all walk in hand and hand...
strong write I have enjoyed this read I came here to thank you for joing in on the Bandits spotlight but found much more " hope " thank you...

I'm constantly ranting about peace, so this hits home for me.
It's so heartbreaking to see the violence and the ignorance today in the world, and I hope that, we, as a society, can finally open our eyes and fix the problems. Some can't be, I know, that it's mainly left up to God's decisions, but we need to try to handle it as wisely as possible.
I'm glad we share views on things like that.

Excellent write here
This should have been a gold trophy poem for it is truly excellent . When the people of this world stops long enough to see we will always have different opinions but thats OK nothing to fight about we will always have good and bad days and thats ok they wont last so look about our world today and ask yourself
what got us this way for I think we all stopped listening to what we say we just keep on agreeing to disagree . Where has this gotten us and what shall we do and the answer is if you will give love and respect to me I will give it t you

-
Yes I'll certainly join you! An empassioned plea for universal peace and you have the awareness that it's us that will make it occur instead of waiting for it to happen. Nice one!
Peace Georgia

Bravo, that day of peace will come. It just take one person to care and inspire others to care too. I will do my part to help.

If we did not have hope for peace then what would we do. Excellent write, I too dream of this day. Wonderful imagery and emotions throughout

-
A wonderful poem, with interesting and creative rhymes, though, as previously stated, a few of them felt a bit forced...
I'm sharing this vision too.
May it one day come to light
All the best -
Good message, good vision. I felt a few of the rhymes were a little forced but that can be forgiven, you have penned a very good poem here.

-
Wow
What a nice vision. And a nice way to express it,
Great job and best of luck in your writing future. -
What a wonderful thing it would be if we all had a vision for peace, and let the wars go by the wayside. So many share this vision, but it takes everyone to make it work.

This is a great write and very true. I am always saying we need to stop teaching our children how to hate. If we could just enlighten children about how wrong it is to do these things mabey the world would start to change. But as far as the people already grown you cant always teach an old dog new tricks.
Anyways VERY GREAT WRITE!!! I was very inspired by it and t focus.

This should recognized.
I agree with you but they will never be a vision of peace in this lifetime. Maybe someday we will have that but out of the idiots we no wait no wait THEY put in into power came more idiots and hypocrites to cash for their own agendas good or bad. You captured all that and a bag of chips in this poem. If I could I'd give you a standing salute. No wait I will
**STANDING CLAPPING OVATION**

Thanks so much for your nice comments on this poem and the standing ovation with the applauses, I so appreciate it. I realise we won't see peace on earth in this lifetime, but at least some of us can hold onto the vision for another generation to come, that will have the power to make it a reality. Thanks again so much!

One person at a time and with Almighty God's help, such a vision is definitely possible! Smooth, pleasant flow to your poem, and the message is a ray of light!

It's hard to listen to the little voice within us when all we do is talk about things that shouldn't be talked about. Everyone needs to take your advice because this poem you wrote holds nothing other than the unbridled truth. This is beautifully written...strong, yet mellow in its wordings. I'm glad to see another from you on here. I'll look forward to seeing the finish product, but I have to say...if nothing else comes to mind, this stands on its own just fine. It's great.

Sadly your words speak truth. Maybe if we all would take the time to "listen," this world could become a better place. Very well written piece. hugs, Kelly
