As tremors vibrate the now crumbling walls
and debris scatter their own dusty trail;
pane shattered windows spill into the halls,
bombarded by shards of reflecting hail.
Thunder resounds as it tears up the floor,
each tile of fear will be thrown in your face;
the tempers of Earth - a migraine so sore,
wraps destruction's bow in her cold embrace.
She rumbles and shakes a horrid earthquake,
life's crystals tumble, to shatter, to sink;
Through lost voids of mud, e'en for death's own sake,
forcing her victims to look o'er the brink.
Teetered and frightened as life disappears,
the ghost of the ground screams shrill through the years.
The life blood of earth drains fast from her core,
where mountains of sound did rupture and break.
Now only hellfire where life thrived before,
ash induced night spreading eternal ache.
The cries of lost children echo through smoke,
filling the air with the devils hot breath.
Screaming in darkness, on fire they choke,
pleas answered only by grumbling death.
Waves pound the shores of the dust covered land,
silence returns as the tremors die down.
And Diana recedes, cleansing the strand
yet the horror will gain worldwide renown.
The memory reigns in hearts filled with fear
as the loss spreads out in cracks 'cross our sphere.
