A Prayer

Holy Father,
What is it you ask of me?
I have been driven so deeply into the mud and the mirk
And I know it has been in your will.
So what is it you ask of me?

I want to do all for you,
I want to live this abbreviated life for you
Yet I know not what is asked of me.
I know not what the next step is.

Lord,
I turn my head to you
To point it in the direction you wish it to go

Lord,
I turn my heart to you
To fill it with the Holy desires you wish it to know

Lord,
In all I am this is the right path to take
To take the path which draws closer to you

Teach me your will, My Lord, My Father
Teach me what it is you ask of me.
I ask that I know what is right.

And to recieve your Word,
If that is your will,
It shall be done.

I am a humble servant,
Asking only for more tasks in Your will.

Author notes

Realizing this should simply be between God and I, I do think it may help some of my fellow brothers and sisters out there to pray this same prayer.

Please tell me what you think
