A pause of tension
a dignity intense
a saturated mystery of unresolved suspense
like that reflective silence
which invariably follows twelve minutes after sex
or after death.
The smell of cigarettes and moral dissonance.
The smell of contradiction and perdurance
between the man of passions
and the man of faith
and the bloody battle which perpetuates between the two.
A failed attempt at self restraint
broken by a C-sharp chord.
The absinthe-cloud of sin
to drive a good man mad.
The pessimist, with his poison arrows
to suffuse a fickle romance:
A caprice to live just once in full
before death.

oooh..... wow
I REALLY liked this. It was very lucid and powerful. I love the contradictions you showed and the words you chose (they all fit into place so perfectly!) Excellent last minute entry! Thanks!!!
