A little hand wrapped around mine,
never did i know of the joy i would find.
To see a sweet angel, a little baby like you,
It fills me with such love, what can i do!
You gurgle and clap and scream and pout,
you giggle and squirm and cry and shout.
But little baby hush and listen to me
For there's nothing else that you can ever be -
- but an angel in my eyes
a gift to cherish and hold
a delicate, fragile being,
a beautiful sight to behold.
And as you lay your head down to sleep
it's time to hush, no sound, no peep.
For the little angel begins to dream
of mummy, of daddy and all in between.
