little child i love to watch you so,
there are some things you need to know
if i could tell you just one thing
my guidance for you is forever promising
i'm young and learning as just you'll be
if i stumble and fall i dont want you to see
theres things about me you mustn't know
in those moments, i'll have to go
you're going to crawl and sometimes fall
your eyes will gleem trust to all
and you'll learn that life is happy sometimes
blinded to filth and all of life's crimes
little child, i'm excited for you
you have my love, and assurance too
if you fall i'll be right there
and if i'm busy, still know i care
only one chance is given to us
use it wisely, and spare your trust
be cautious, be independent, and do not cry
never give up, you must always try
i love you dearly with all my heart
all who love you will show you a good start
you have this chance i never found
when you need me, i'm here, lurking around
to protect you

so sweet! made me smile ^^ -
This is a very interesting piece. The title suggest something completely different, something a little darker. Its interesting how a love that is pure and instinctive can sometimes seem creepy or dark. But it's true, mothers have a habit of lurking where their kids are involved. Chances are when I have my babies, I'll be a bit of a lurker too. Love makes people do some very odd things sometimes. Brava

That's EXACTLY how I felt due my pregnancies. And these lines: "if you fall i'll be right there
and if i'm busy, still know i care" That's how I wish all mothers are. That'd be the most amazing thing to see.
I think the title is a little creepy, but that's most likely due to the pessimist in me. Great write, the ending is the best.
Best of luck in the contest,
Bandaid.
