Standstill

Memories filling in the gaps in time
When life was simple, And the sky ran blue
Just a box to the outsiders eye
But all that remains of me and you

Trying to find out where I'm going
Where I am, and want to be
Pointless object, means nothing to the world
But reasoning exists secretly

It contains standstill moments,
Seconds floating in the silence of space
When we kissed first, diary notes
Pieces of my mind lost. Past lives and first dates

Days running without a deiced stop
But when they do, your questioning why
'I can't take it any more, please forget me'
But I can't seem to rid your kiss from my mind

Secrets sometimes seep out of my head
From places out of sight and out of reach
From times we whispered for being scared of ears
And times with too great a feeling for speech

Maybe one of those hazy days memories
Will transform in time to set me free
I'll accidentaly stumble upon
Some form of hope I'm able to believe

And it'll whisk me away to that far away place,
Where the sky once more is blue
I can forget the past and create a future
Disappear from sight, and be with you...

And the cow jumped over the moooon....

    i loved it....it was nice....

When we kissed first, diary notes
Pieces of my mind lost. Past lives and first dates

    loved those lines and these...

From times we whispered for being scared of ears

Good job! I thought it was very pretty!
Maybe your last line could be "disappear from sight, and be with you"
    Just a suggestion!

This poem was written with wise words... I mean the thought and insight in this was pretty damn good. Enthralling. x
