The rain
It's the greatest thing that nature ever created
For some, it helps them go to sleep
For others it hides the tears that they cry
For me, it's the best part of the day
I can go and cry in it
I could dance in it,
Let it wash away everything I've ever done
But now all it reminds me of is him
We used to walk in the rain
Just laugh at everyone who screamed when they got wet
And that's where he died
Is in the rain
If the man who drove the car wasn't drunk
If he didn't take that corner as fast as he did
If he'd checked the brakes before hand
He wouldn't have slid out of control
I guess I can't blame the man for everything
If I noticed it earlier, and pushed him out of the way
He would still be here
Holding my hand
Everytime it rains
It's because he's crying
He's happy for me
And he's watching
Everytime it rains
I go out and dance
I go out and sing
...just like we used to
