We've been down this road before
it's a bit worn-a bit weathered.
The sky surrounding is dark
the wind is blowing-the leaves stir.
Honestly, I don't want to be here
I'd rather go down the old one
on the other side of the world
where the sun is shining
and the breeze is perfect.
Tree roots spread across my path
they're becoming harder to see-harder to dodge
easier to fall-easier to get hurt
and this time, I really doubt I can avoid it
I really doubt WE can avoid the hurt
that's coming our way.

so I wrote this on 1/16/07 which is the day before my current significant other and I began dating again. I had written this in a note to a friend of mine and I found it the other day in her car so I took it to put on here. It's been so long since I've written it that I'm not sure what all of it means. I'm sure it's about Adam, but I erno in what sense. oh well. free for interpretation.
