Loki laughed behind his shield
Demanding the knight before him yeild.
The Knight refused and still fought on
His swords light dull in setting sun.
Loki darted out and struck in stealth.
The Knight leaked both blood and health,
yet still the weakened man refused to fall
standing in armoured honor, brave and tall.
Each breath agony, his sword arm hard to lift
Still he refused to give Loki the demanded gift.
Alone, he fought, a battle he could never win
although undefeated in battle he'd always been.
Honorable, he'd keep his soul clean and free
But, as devious as some lower gods could be
If he lost this battle now, was laid low,
his soul was forfeit to his laughing foe.
He'd be caught up by Valkyries in the air
left looking down on his own mortal care
There was no aide, no one he could call.
On his own ability he would stand or fall.

Only one problem with this wonderful tale. You said that the Kinght would forfeit his soul to Loki upon his death. Then you said that Valkyries would take his soul upon falling. Which is it? or did you mean that Loki would receive great pleasure and not his soul? Great job with this.
