Mainstream Madness

The fatality of ones thoughts,
Bringing ever closer the melancholy instinct of tainted tolerance,

Mainstream Madness persevering in provoking my most intolerant inner soul,
When will this darkened dream end.

Author notes

I didn't entirely understand this and found it very difficult, so i went for the hidden meaning poem, i'm not sure even i understand what i wrote lol.

I gotta give kudos for all the alliteration! I think you have touched upon something here. Sometimes we tolerate what ought not be tolerated (tainted) and certainly it affects who we are, how we feel (melancholy). If we allow ourselves, however to be provoked, although we are hit in the face with the darkness, we can affect change. You poem makes me think.

Thanks, when i put it together i thought a lot more then i give myself credit for, but most of it was subconcious, just like most of my "good" poetry.
