The winds howl,
As so does your voice.
The buildings around us crash,
As does my heart.
The weather is just like our relationship.
all is quite before the storm.
First the warnings,
then the evacuations.
The hail storm comes and goes,
Rain slashes what the hail left.
Then the wind picks up,
And all is diminished.
why must we do this all the time?
one of us isn't happy and the other is connected to the weather.
trying to figure out how to get away from the storm,
Is really killing who we are.
But as the weather dies down,
So does the arguing.
And at the end,
All is quite again, and we are in each others' arms.
Author notes
i have been through many storms, both from weather and emotional.

This is a co-dependant relationship. There are two positions. All is good or all is bad. Higher than kites or living in hell. NO inbetween. I spent eight years in a marriage like that. She was a wonderful woman and she holds me as a wonderful man. We were each others worse drug. I spent twelve years between marriages learning how not to be a relationship junkie and how to not become enthralled by the call of the greatest highs and lows. It took me awhile, but god, was it worth it. Love, Tom B.

Oh yeah, there is a definite correlation between natures storms and relationship storms. Very descriptive. Well done. Just a typo here: The n the wind picks up,
And all is diminished. Thank you for entering and good luck.
