lack luster

hope
hope has drained from me
tears fill my nights
pain fills my heart

fear
fear grips my soul
self pitty traps my mind
frustration traps my imagination

i had peace once
love brought me there
but something is missing
perhaps the touch of your lips
or the sight of your smile
perhaps the doubt has stolen hope

i miss hope
i miss my dreams
i miss you
