Tonight she sleeps so sweet and tender
Tomorrow she will bloom in splendor.
She is the Sun-God's timeless lover
The golden shower called Sunflower.
It is to sparkle her love-filled eyes
That from the depths of seas come sunrise,
It is to brace her that every ray
Dares to journey light years each day.
The sensual kiss of morning sunlight
Wipes off tearful dew drops of night,
She blossoms to a golden wonder,
The angels keep off rain and thunder.
The Sun-God rises to heavens above
Fueled by thoughts of his only true love,
The Sunflower smiles in golden glory,
The angels bless their sweet love story.
