Passing on the Torch

aslanlight

Into the ether spirits pour
Forth imaginings flying free
If it is not it cannot be thought
Therefore all that is can be written
Radiated through the fingers
Of the travellers
Seeking truth in poetic form
Passing on the torch throughout time

    A much better poem...

than poetry I read in school textbooks. I am gaining some insight as to where the poetry comes that appears in school books. True, there are some fine old masters, but otherwise I think the poems are written by the publisher's grandchildren. Your poem is MUCH better than theirs.

absolutely stunning the way you have created this...tells so much about poets in such few lines....loved the feel of this, almost Berkely-ish...like take it or leave it, its all good....excellent job!
