the stiffness of the ice elephant

Do you belong to the place where twilights are born?
Do you stroll in gardens where shadows are torn?
Is your breakfast made of nectar and ambrosia?
Do the universes of you fit on the frail tip of a rose’s thorn…?
I have a friend who likes to waltz, I, myself, would rather fly…
I’d spread my imaginary wings, wide as a barbaric yawp!
And soar beyond stars and dust
Away from the cement cage of a crippling flat
Away from the binding grip of a corrupting couch

Away…

from the concrete jungle…

Please tell me what you think

this tiny piece of a tiny corner of your mind, it's like a glimpse of paradise. it reminded me of "a3tini el naya wa ghanni" or to be more accurate it reminded me of gibran's poem, don't ask why but it just did. and I'm sorry I still have only 2 applauds left cos I used the first 3 on the french poem. you know how I am with french poems.
    Great poem Serge... great philosopher.
