Ink on my skin
tells a story in myth and metaphor
allegory of the soul
on arms, legs, and back
soon another will join their ranks
as the last note in a love song.
Ink on the page
blurring from one line to the next
blue, black, and red mingle with a fading green
so many words, images trying to say what I mean
but how can they speak for me?
Fake Ink on the screen
a confession of obsession,
addiction, patterns that lead me to the same places
over and over
as a hungry dog returns to his vomit;
and here I am again.

ink...
Well thought out work poet! People use ink to try and express themselves... sometimes they use poems or songs. Some even use silence!
Good luck in the contest!
