Duel of Wands

Step up on your pedestal,
Raise your wand up high,
Mild incantations ring,
Through every wizards heart,
Turn away from your enemy,
Spare yourself the site,

3...

A chain of spells stutters through your head,
Your wands ready to ignite,
With spells from languages far and wide,

And spirits low and high,

2...

Prepare yourself it's coming now,
Your wand gripped in a sweaty, clammy hand,

1...

Here it comes,
Get ready,
Be still,

The duel has begun!

A whizz of juvenile jinxes,

A rushed incantation fails,

A spell to disarm narrowly misses,

Fire is all around,

A clash of power,

One on One,

Prepare to make a stand,

The duel is over,

The war has ended,

Shake each other's hands.

Author notes

Ok, this didnt end how i wantd it to, so i had to make a substitute (it didn't fit the rythm or any slight patterns of poetry i had ;P. Hope you enjoy .

Hmm... interesting. You can tell by reading it that it didn't end the way you wanted it to, exactly, but it was good nevertheless. When I made this contest, never did I expect that someone would... no COULD actually write a poem about wizard duel! Good job.
