My Verses by Jeannie D North Carolina USA

JeannieD

With all birth comes labor pains
but the end result brings forth light
New life that can reestablish lost hope
inspiring ideas to set wrongs right

With each stroke of the poet's pen
a new world begins to form
Mere words that are aligned so well
our minds eye sees what they perform

Jeanie this is beautiful. Comparing the poet to the beginning of life. Wonderful correlation. For once a poet pens the words that fill them...they have created something new that not only brings life to themselves but life to those who read it. Bravo my friend...

Interesting metaphor and so true. I am struggling to write something right now, so I know what you mean. Keep up the great work!
