The roar of the waves as they race to the shore
sizzling as they crash on the shell emblazoned sand
Salt misted incense meanders on the breeze
mischievously fluttering through the window where I stand
Seagulls and sandpipers serenade playfully
as they search along the beach for a leftover snack
Palm trees flex their feathery fingers in the wind
pelicans decorate the sky with their silhouettes of black
Stretching I inhale all these sights and sounds
letting the soothing sensations caress healingly
Reminding me life may not really be so bad
as I surrender to nature's pleasures willingly
