(Summer Won't Last Forever)

I wonder how to make things better,
knowing not much help comes from this typed letter.
Straightening things out is out of my league I guess,
but I won't screw up anything, or cause a mess...
I just want to be here talking or there sitting with you,
but I'll stay your friend for now if that's what I have to do.


So I decide I want to know,
does the girl want me so....?
It may be summer, but summer doesn't last forever,
and we'll always be able to talk to eachother.

Theres nothing to ruin, theres nothing that'd make me back down.
Let me hear what you have to say, no one will see these words in any other town.
Of course we'd last,
it's the belief that'll make summer go fast.
Trust should be shared,
and belief in eachother shows each one cares.

Maybe you needs a guardian to guard you today,
one that could try to make all the things bad go away.
Or at least give you something to be happy about,
and I'll say, "I don't care about doubt."

So I decide I want to know,
